Model City Polish – Check Out These Goods!
Ready for some new summer babies, Reader? We’re talking lacquers that evoke so much summer that your eyes will be burning from the chlorine. You’ll be reaching for the SPF and trying to decide if your sunglasses have enough shade to hide the fact that you’ve been staring at the lifeguard’s six-pack for the past 10 minutes. But heads up, he noticed. Don’t worry, I think he likes it. I digress!
Shown above and below this text are the 3 AAAAAAAH-MAZING lacquers that Nina sent to me. So, if you’re ready for the ride, give your mouse wheel a little roll and we’ll get started!

Dude, could you imagine if wearing this polish actually made Flora and Merryweather show up and start fighting over your dress color? Pretty sure that would be the biggest nail polish perk EVER. Fairy Fight has a mix of pink and blue micro flakies all swirled up in an airy lilac base. The formula is pretty much absurdly amazing. You might even call it…magical. Photos all show 3 coats, no underoos.

Super Soaker Summer
Finally! An option for the girl who wants Floam but is tired of trying…and trying…and trying to get a bottle of this eternally sold out lacquer. I can’t even begin to imagine how many girls see this as an answered prayer. It is not a perfect dupe, as I’m sure it was not made to be, but it is a smashing tip of the hat to the creation that got many people first interested in indies.
Super Soaker Summer has a mix of neon micro glitters in blue, green, and yellow, all having an orgy in a clear base. For an easier application it can be used as a topcoat over any lacquer that you fancy. But, as you can see, I went full coverage on this baby. The formula does dry gritty and hungry, but that’s just the nature of these glitters. Glitter Food cured all in this case. Photos show 2, yes TWO, dabbed coats.

May I present to you the real deal
Now, what the polish reminds me of. MERMAIDS!

RED SPINEL HAS A SISTER! I repeat, Red Spinel has a sister!!!!!! I was so completely stoked to find this scrumtrulescent beaut in my review pack. You just don’t even know! Just like Red Spinel, these pictures do NOT do justice to the ridiculous amount of holo happening in real life.
Aqua Aura has a clear base with a mix of holographic aqua and gold micro glitters mixed throughout. As with Super Soaker Summer, you could go for a tamer look by using this as a topcoat. But yeah, I know nothing about being tame. I was able to achieve the opacity shown in 3 coats, sans undies.

I honestly have no favorite. They are all equally sublime! And as that gif attests, Jeremy Clarkson agrees with me on this one. Thanks, Jeremy! Sadly, these lacquers are all sold out in the Model City Polish shop. BUT, after Nina’s PHENOMENAL one year anniversary launch last Thursday, is it any wonder? Chin up though, Reader! There will be a restock happening this weekend! Be sure to run over to Model City’s Facebook page to learn more about the projected launch time. Your turn! Toss those feels at me, Reader! Underhanded, if you don’t mind. I’m a terrible catch.
