Born Pretty Store – Stampin’ Yo!

Ready for my next review for Born Pretty Store? Why do I ask these things? If you said no I’d never know. Meh. Regardless, I have some stamping fun for you today! And rejoice, my skills are growing!

I now know that one of the biggest contributors to my previous failed attempts at stamping was a crappy stamper. Boooooo to you, POS stamper that came with my POS stamping kit from Walmart. Booooo to you, indeed! Knowing that I needed a better stamper for better results led me to my next review for Born Pretty Store.

Super sexy, riiiiiiiiiiiight? The stamper did a boss job of picking up the image, and it all went smoothly enough that even my noob-self was able to pull off something totes decent! BUT….I decided that to put this baby to the test I should go for full coverage. So while the above mani is worthy of tiny stamps, this next look is an example of something a tad more…grand.

I’m pretty sure this manicure could be classified as a deadly weapon. It definitely caused some sharp intakes of breath on my end. One of which incited a bout of choking. So yeah, view with caution. Hmmm, perhaps I should have given that warning before showing you the pics. Oops. This look also goes to show that the stamper is large enough for full coverage, which is saying a lot since my nails have the width of a linebacker. Visual ahead.

Booooom! Sucker is boasting a diameter of 2.5 cm, and also has a superbly squishy surface. That squishiness was invaluable to molding around the curves of my nail beds. Basically, I have nothing but swell things to say about this little baby!

Conclusion

It picks up cleanly, transfers just as well, mega surface area, and the squish-factor. Everything added up to give me precisely what I needed in a stamper! Sorry to get all mega-excited, but I can finally do some proper stamping! I’m freaking happier than my mom watching any Chris Hemsworth movie ever! Oh, have we not discussed my mom’s crush on Thor? It’s a thing.

  1. The Polishes Pisces says:

Oh dear you enabler! I just order $18 worth of stamping plates!

  2. The one with the swirly design is MAJESTIC.

  3. that is damn sexy!

  4. Alison Giantomass says:

Very pretty! I’ve had a hard time stamping add well, maybe I need to try a different stamper too.

Oh, and is that Color Club Miss Bliss in the first set of photos?

ps, can’t blame your mom, Thor is hot!

  5. Samantha Rigge says:

You may have talked me into finally buying a stamp. I’ve been avoiding them cause I just do most of my nail art by hand and the ones I have looked at for the more intricate designs never looked like they would cover my full nail!

  6. PolishNV says:

I may have to battle your mom for Thor!

  7. Both designs look great!

  8. I LOVE the second set! The polish AND the stamp! It looks fab! I might have to break down and try that stamper. I think my stamping fails are related to lack of experience but every little tweak helps. What stamp did you use for the all-over stamp? I just love that pattern!

  9. Cathy M says:

Oh, I have this same stamper. You’re right, it works great and the larger size is awesome for picking up the whole image. Now if only my stamping looked as good as yours…

  10. That second polish is amazing! As is your stamping job. Which polish did you use for it? The black…
